MATHS THINKING

Question to ask at home:

What weighs more?
A tonne of feathers or a tonne of bricks?

  1. I think the answer might be both because the "ton" means they are one tons worth of the material, therefore the ton of bricks is the same as the ton of feathers.

  2. They weigh the same; a tonne is a measure of weight, not quantity.

  3. This maths problem got us all! It's the same amount, so really, NONE of them are the right answer!

  4. Most people would think that bricks would weigh more because they are heavier than feathers. But they actually way the same because they both add up to a tonne.
