This afternoon we experienced a 6.2 earthquake at school. We
took this very seriously and all of our danger drills paid off. At the time we
were working at our desks then suddenly we felt the big shake. The lights
swayed and the ground shook making our heads go a little dizzy. We covered our
heads correctly under the tables, listened and waited so fantastically to our
teacher’s instructions. Once Miss Campbell instructed that it was safe to move
we silently went and assembled to the front court. Next the roll was taken and
we still sat without talking.
We felt safe because we listened to calm
instructions and stuck together.
This is great that you are so well drilled for earthquakes, it is all about keeping yourselves safe.
