MATHS WEEK PROBLEM 2



Day 2: I am a two digit number. The sum of my digits is 11 and the difference of my two digits is 5. What two possible numbers could I be?

    I think that the two numbers are 5 and 6.

    To help us we need to know what these key words mean:
    Difference- how many are in between (SUBTRACT)
    Sum- total when adding

    I think the two possible numbers can be eight and three because,
    8+3=11
    8-3=5
    This working out meets the rules in the question.

    I think the two digits might be 8 and 3 because the sum is 8+3=11 and the difference is 8-3=5.
