I think students should not be allowed to miss school to go on holiday because they miss out on important learning. I am thinking that there are many circumstances to consider however. If the holiday is for a wedding or funeral overseas is it fair for the children to have to miss out because they must attend school? How many days should the children be allowed to be away for? There are lots to consider. I am still thinking deeply before I form my final opinion on this.

I think that students should not take time off school because students have not only holidays but weekends to have time off school. Also in other countrys they might have different holiday time but you can see them after school or work.
I think children should not be allowed to go on holidays because that can affect learning skills and it can mean to avoid education. Kids can be sick to be excused from school, but just for plan reasons like my family is just taking me for a break to go to England! It is quiet unfair for those who would like to go but there family can’t quiet afford it. Yes it is expensive on the holiday time to fly to somewhere but it is bad for your kids to just take them away. Just remember there are kids at school every second working hard to get at what they need to learn in life. That’s what I think.
I think no, because families have enough time during the year. It is still coming back to me that students can have education outside the school. What is the point of having a holiday in the school term, when there are already times provided? Imagine if you went on holiday in a school term and you were so excited about coming back and having fun, but instead you had to do tests and work. Going overseas is overwhelming, and also I think three months in total is enough for school holidays throughout the year.
I think it depends on the circumstances, because sometimes you have family from a different country visiting and you might not be able to see them for another ten years. I don’t think you shouldn’t be able to go away for more than two weeks because there’s a lot of paper work. You shouldn’t be able to go during school because it’s hard for everybody else to carry on.
i think students should not be allowed to take a holiday when it is still school. When they get back they wouuld have alot of tests to do as well as the theacher having to teach them the things that the others have already learnt, the theacher would get anoid and then you would have to catch on up on all the stuff that they just did every week and they would probely take a while to catch up on every thing.

I think we should be allowed to have holidays though school. Because we need to spend time with our family instead of having to have 6 hours of school and 5 hours with your family and 7 days at school and two days with our family. I know that three month is a lot of time for the holidays but that’s all together in the year. from when you order your flights it takes about 4 days to get on the plane and 2 days to get to England on a plane so you only have 10 days and you don’t get a lot of time to see your family in England. But a boat takes about 1 week to get to Australia so you can’t go there unless you go there and then go back strait away. So that’s why I say we should be allowed holidays in school time.
